We sell a family office database, so read this comparison knowing that. We have tried to keep it factual and useful anyway, including the cases where a competitor is the better choice for you. Details below reflect what each provider publishes about its own product as of July 2026. Prices and features change, so always confirm on the provider's site before buying. If you represent one of these companies and something here is out of date, contact us and we will correct it promptly.
What actually matters when you buy family office data
Buyers of family office data tend to raise the same concerns at every price level: contacts go stale, some listings are not really family offices, and cold outreach converts poorly when the data is generic. So before comparing logos and features, judge every provider on four questions:
- How is the data verified, and when was each record last checked?
- Does it include direct contact details for decision makers, or just info@ addresses?
- Is it a one-time purchase you own, or a subscription?
- What happens if the data is wrong? Is there a guarantee?
The three tiers of the market
Tier 1: Enterprise platforms
Preqin, now part of BlackRock, is a standard for institutional LP data. Family offices are one segment inside a much larger universe of institutional investors, and its core value is performance benchmarks, mandate data, and research. Pricing is not published; it is enterprise software sold on annual contracts. We compare the two models in detail in our Preqin alternative guide.
PitchBook, owned by Morningstar, is a deal and company data platform first, with investor coverage as part of a broader product. Pricing is not published; access is quoted by its sales team.
With Intelligence, owned by S&P Global, acquired the Highworth family office research database in 2024 and offers detailed written profiles of single and multi family offices. Pricing is not published.
Who these are for: funds and institutions that need benchmarks, mandates, and research workflows, with the budget for enterprise software. If you mainly need accurate contacts for outreach, you would be paying for a lot you will not use.
Tier 2: Family office specialists
FINTRX describes its coverage as thousands of family offices with tens of thousands of contacts, daily updates, CRM integrations, and an API. Pricing and contract terms are not published as of July 2026; access is arranged through its sales team. Our FINTRX alternative guide covers when each model fits.
Dakota publishes its pricing plainly on its own site: $16,500 per year for the first seat and $1,000 per year for each additional seat, per its own pricing guide as of July 2026. It positions its family office coverage around offices that allocate to outside managers, and includes a community and education layer (the free Dakota Live! call) that has become a fixture in the industry. See our Dakota alternative guide for the full comparison.
Altss publishes seat pricing in its FAQ ($10,000 to $15,000 per seat per year depending on tier, as of July 2026) and describes full re-verification of its records every 30 days. By design, Altss data lives inside the platform: its FAQ states there is no CSV export or API access. That works well if the platform is where your team operates; if you want the data inside your own CRM or spreadsheet, that is a point to weigh.
Who these are for: teams doing continuous, high-volume fundraising who need fresh data all year and CRM workflows. If that is you, this tier is worth the money.
Tier 3: One-time lists and data memberships
This is our tier, so here is the landscape as each provider presents it.
Family Office Club (familyoffices.com) is, by its own positioning, the leading live-event investor community in this niche, with a database offering alongside: per its pages as of July 2026, databases are $495 to $997 for the first month and then $79 per month, with Excel export available as a PRO upgrade described on their database page as an additional $995 (their sister site lists lower PRO pricing on some tiers). Its published verification claim is that listings are confirmed by phone, email, or web within the last 6 months, backed by a 4x per-listing refund. Check the current product descriptions and terms on their site for what each package includes; our Family Office Club alternative guide compares the two models.
familyofficehub.io sells one-time Excel lists, published from the hundreds of dollars to $4,999.99 for its global list as of July 2026, with 12 months of free updates included. In line with GDPR, its lists include company contact details and LinkedIn pages rather than personal email addresses, a compliance-first choice. A good option if company-level contacts are enough for you, with notably strong European coverage.
Family Office Access (formerly Family Office List) sells annual subscriptions, published at $2,495 to $3,995 per year at the time of writing, with a per-contact accuracy guarantee described on its site.
Active Family Offices (us): more than 2,700 active family offices (the live count is on each product page), every row reviewed by a human, one-time purchase with the Excel file included, and a 95% accuracy guarantee on the full databases, with money back under the terms published on each product page. Most USA-region listings include at least one top decision maker's personal work email and LinkedIn profile (privacy laws restrict personal contact details for the EU, UK, and some other locations; coverage stats are on each product page). Regional lists start at $100, the full USA database is $1,800, and the worldwide database is $3,000. You can download a free sample before spending anything.

How to choose
If you raise capital continuously and live in your CRM, a Tier 2 subscription is the right tool. If you need benchmarks and mandates for institutional work, that is Tier 1 territory. If you are a founder, fund manager, or advisor who needs accurate family office contacts for a defined outreach effort, a one-time list is the economical buy: you own the file, you pay once, and you can start the same day.
Whatever you pick, test before you trust. Ask for a sample, check a few rows yourself on LinkedIn, and see whether the provider tells you how and when the data was verified. Then plan your outreach around warm introductions rather than cold blasts. We wrote a short guide on how to get warm introductions to family offices that applies whichever database you buy.
The bottom line for a capital raiser choosing now
For a defined family office outreach effort, we believe the strongest buy in this market is a human-reviewed file you own outright: the Full USA Database at $1,800 or the Full Worldwide Database at $3,000, each with the Excel file included and the accuracy guarantee published on the page. Start with the free sample and hold us to the standard described on our FAQ page.
