Free Family Office AI Connector for Claude and ChatGPT

1. Open Claude and go to Customize > Connectors (in some versions: Settings > Connectors).
2. Click Add custom connector.
3. Name it Active Family Offices and paste the URL: https://mcp.activefamilyoffices.com/mcp
4. Click Add, then Connect.
5. Enter your work email and first name, then the 6-digit code we email you.
6. Start a new chat and ask: "Find family offices in Texas investing in real estate."

If the connector does not respond, click the + button in the chat, open Connectors and make sure Active Family Offices is switched on.

Works on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors, then each member clicks Connect.

1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings > Apps > Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
2. Go back to Settings > Apps and click Create.
3. Name: Active Family Offices. MCP server URL: https://mcp.activefamilyoffices.com/mcp. Authentication: OAuth.
4. Click Create and complete the sign-in: your work email, first name and the 6-digit code we email you.
5. In a new chat, click +, choose Active Family Offices (or mention it in your message) and ask your question.

Developer mode is available on paid ChatGPT plans, on the web only. On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, an admin turns it on first. We have also submitted Active Family Offices to the ChatGPT app directory. Once it is listed, you will be able to connect in one click without developer mode.

Run:

Then type /mcp inside Claude Code, choose active-family-offices and sign in.

Open Cursor Settings > MCP and add a new server, or add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

Cursor opens the sign-in page the first time you use it.

Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and choose HTTP, or add this to .vscode/mcp.json:
