Family Office List Excel Downloads: 9 Vendors Compared (2026)

A family office list in Excel is sold by several vendors, as one-time downloads, memberships, or subscriptions. Published one-time prices in this guide run from $199 for a single US state to $5,000 for a worldwide file, as of October 2026. The biggest differences are contact level, verification method, and refresh terms.

Full disclosure, since a guide like this should say who wrote it: we are Active Family Offices, and we sell one of the nine products below. We have scored ourselves on the same checklist as everyone else.

Every fact about another vendor comes from that vendor's own pages as of October 2026, linked in the sources. Prices change; confirm on each site.

Why the download tier gets its own guide

Most "best family office database" articles compare annual platforms built for institutions. A large group of buyers has a simpler job: raise one round, fund one project, or open one market.

These buyers want a file they can download, filter, and load into their own tools. That is the download tier. Nine vendors sell into it, most with published prices, and the differences between them are real.

The checklist

For each vendor we note:

  • Format
  • Published price
  • What a row contains
  • How the vendor says it verifies
  • Refresh terms

We did not test data quality and we do not grade it here; use each vendor's sample.

Family office lists in Excel: the nine vendors

Active Family Offices (us). One-time Excel file of family offices verified as active (it runs a live website), with its website, LinkedIn page, location, investment domains, and named top decision-makers. Work emails are verified against the mail server for most USA-region offices (privacy law limits personal contact details for the EU, UK, and some other regions; coverage on each product page).

Full USA Database $2,500; Full Worldwide Database $5,000; Full Europe Database $1,500. New version each quarter. Method published on our FAQ page; accuracy guarantee on each full database page. Free Excel sample.

AllFamilyOffices. Excel and CSV downloads, 176 products listed, filterable by region, country, sector, and office type. Described as verified family office contacts compiled from public sources, refreshed quarterly, with quarterly refreshes included for 12 months. Examples: United States $1,999; Europe $1,999; Family Offices Worldwide $3,999; Single Family Offices Worldwide $3,499.

  • What it does well: the broadest catalogue in this tier, so you can buy exactly the region or sector you need.
  • Choose it if you want a narrow segment file with 12 months of quarterly refreshes included.
  • Full comparison: AllFamilyOffices vs Active Family Offices.

FamilyOfficeDB. Excel and CSV, one-time. Full database $2,995 (12 months of quarterly refreshes); annual licence $3,990 per year; regions $995 each; US state packs $199 each. Describes 4,539 offices across 78 countries, 8,767 named principals, cross-checked against SEC Form ADV; free 100-firm sample.

  • What it does well: low entry prices by state and region and a stated SEC Form ADV cross-check.
  • Choose it if you want one state or region at a small budget, or prefer an annual licence.
  • Full comparison: FamilyOfficeDB alternative.

SeekFamilyOffice. Hand-checked spreadsheets by region: Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe $499 each, Middle East $199, Global $999, one-time. Office email, switchboard and named principals where found; no personal emails by stated policy; published coverage snapshot.

  • What it does well: a clear, published contact policy and coverage snapshot.
  • Choose it if office-level contacts and principal names are enough and you want a low global price.
  • Full comparison: SeekFamilyOffice vs Active Family Offices.

familyofficehub.io. Excel lists ranked by size, strongest in Europe. Examples: 500 largest US SFOs $799.99; 1,000 largest European SFOs $1,499.99; country lists from $199.99. Generic contact details and executive names; updated versions emailed to buyers.

  • What it does well: size-ranked lists with depth in Europe.
  • Choose it if you want the largest single family offices in Europe or in one country.
  • Full comparison: FamilyOfficeHub alternative for US lists.

Family Office Directories. Custom family office directories scoped to your region, office type, sector and volume. As of 19 October 2026 its site describes a request-and-quote process: a directory specialist scopes the request, and the quote sets out the fields and the price. No list prices were published when we checked.

  • What it does well: a directory built to a specific scope.
  • Choose it if your search is narrow enough that a custom build fits better than a standard file.

Family Office Club / Family Office Databases. Monthly data membership: $495 or $997 first month, then $79 per month, or bundles at $799 for the first month or $1,350 for the first year, then $79 per month. Excel export is a PRO upgrade, listed at an additional $995 on the individual databases we checked. Listings described as confirmed within the last 6 months with a guarantee per their terms. Part of a large events community.

  • What it does well: data alongside one of the best-known event communities in the space.
  • Choose it if you want an ongoing membership with events as well as data.
  • More detail: our Family Office Club review, from its own pages.

Family Office Access. Annual subscription with platform access: Global $3,995 per year, North America $2,495 per year, International $2,495 per year, each paid upfront; the pricing section also has a Monthly tab, which listed no plans when we checked on 19 October 2026. Included here because buyers compare it with the download tier.

  • What it does well: a maintained platform with advisor support.
  • Choose it if you prefer platform access over owning a file.

Free sources. OpenVC, Family Office List (familyofficelist.com), SWFI profiles, Axial's directory, and community spreadsheets give names and websites at no cost. They are a useful starting point before you buy an outreach file. We cover them in our free family office databases guide.

How to choose a family office list in Excel

  1. Decide the contact level you need. If you will email decision-makers, buy decision-maker emails and ask how they were verified. If you will research people yourself, an office-level list is cheaper and fine.
  2. Ask every vendor for a sample and check ten rows against LinkedIn and the office's website.
  3. Read the refresh terms. "Refreshes included" and "new version sold separately" are both honest models; pick the one that matches how long your campaign runs.
  4. Prefer vendors who publish their method and their guarantee.

FAQ

Where can I download a family office list in Excel?

Vendors that sell family office lists as Excel or CSV downloads include Active Family Offices, AllFamilyOffices, FamilyOfficeDB, SeekFamilyOffice, and familyofficehub.io. Family Office Club offers Excel export as a PRO upgrade to its membership, and Family Office Directories builds custom directories quoted by scope. Free sources such as OpenVC and Axial's directory give names and websites at no cost.

What is the cheapest family office database?

Among the paid vendors in this guide, the lowest published entry price as of October 2026 is $199: a FamilyOfficeDB US state pack or SeekFamilyOffice's Middle East list. familyofficehub.io country lists start at $199.99. Free sources give names and websites at no cost, so match the price to the contact level you need.

Can I buy a family office database as a one-time purchase?

Yes. Active Family Offices, AllFamilyOffices, FamilyOfficeDB, SeekFamilyOffice, and familyofficehub.io sell one-time files, and Family Office Directories quotes custom directories by scope. Refresh terms differ: AllFamilyOffices includes 12 months of quarterly refreshes, and FamilyOfficeDB includes them with its full database. Active Family Offices releases a new version each quarter that you buy when you need it.

How do I check a family office list before buying?

Ask every vendor for a sample and check ten rows against LinkedIn and each office's website. Then decide the contact level you need: decision-maker emails for direct outreach, or office-level contacts if you will research people yourself. Finally, read the refresh terms and prefer vendors who publish their method and their guarantee.

The bottom line for a capital raiser choosing now

For a defined outreach effort where you will contact decision-makers directly, we believe the strongest buy in this tier is a file where every row has passed an activity check and mail-server email verification with the method published: the Full USA Database or the Full Worldwide Database. Start with the free sample and hold us to the FAQ page.
