FINTRX vs Dakota for Family Office Data (2026)

Subscribe to continue reading

Dakota publishes a list price and FINTRX quotes through sales. As of November 2026, the Dakota Marketplace page lists $16,500 per year for full platform access plus $1,000 per additional user; we could not find a monthly price or a separately priced family office plan. We could not find published FINTRX prices; Dakota itself estimates FINTRX at $5,000 to $20,000 per year. For one campaign there is a third option: the Active Family Offices Full USA Database is a one-time $2,500 Excel file.

Full disclosure: we sell a family office database, so we compete with both FINTRX and Dakota for some buyers. Every competitor fact below comes from their own pages, read on 1 November 2026.

What Dakota publishes about pricing and coverage

The Dakota Marketplace page lists "$16,500 / year" for full platform access and "$1,000 per additional user," and invites firms to contact Dakota to build a plan. We could not find a monthly billing option on the page as of November 2026.

The same page describes 250,000+ LP accounts and 386,000+ contacts, including 5,000+ family offices and 17,000+ RIAs, plus daily investment committee intelligence and integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, DealCloud, Dynamo and more. Targeted lists can be filtered by account type, geography, strategy and AUM and exported directly into a CRM.

Dakota's family office page lists 8,000+ verified decision-makers across 91 countries, describes daily updates by a research team that reviews every record, and focuses its targeting on offices that allocate to outside managers. It offers a 30-minute demo, and Dakota's Marketplace FAQ describes a week-long free trial.

What FINTRX publishes about pricing and coverage

As of November 2026, we could not find published prices on the FINTRX website, and fintrx.com/pricing did not load when we checked. Its family office data page invites visitors to request a trial, and pricing is quoted by its sales team.

Dakota, which competes with FINTRX and is the other platform on this page, wrote in a November 2025 guide that estimated FINTRX costs range between $5,000 and $20,000 per year. Treat that as a third-party estimate from a competitor. Actual pricing is quoted by FINTRX and varies.

The FINTRX family office data page describes 4,600+ single and multi-family offices, 30K+ verified contacts and 42K+ tracked transactions. Its wider dataset covers 46,000+ RIA and broker-dealer firms, 28,000+ wealth teams, and banks, trusts, endowments and foundations.

What FINTRX does well

FINTRX is built around the private wealth channel: family offices, RIAs, broker-dealers and wealth teams in one platform. It describes data updated daily with AI automation and human research review, contact records that follow people when they change firms, alerts on new hires and investment activity, and native sync with Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics 365 and DealCloud. For a team that sells to wealth intermediaries and family offices together, that focus is the strength.

What Dakota does well

Dakota publishes a list price, which helps any buyer building a budget. Its family office coverage centers on named CIOs and allocators at offices that invest with outside managers, with bios and career histories, which matches how fund managers sell. The same subscription covers the wider institutional market, from public pensions to RIAs, and adds field-sales tools such as Map It for planning city trips and Dakota Live! calls. For an asset manager raising across LP types all year, one platform for all of it is efficient.

The third option: a one-time family office file

FINTRX and Dakota are annual platforms for teams that prospect all year. Many buyers have a narrower job: a founder raising one round, a sponsor raising equity for one project, or an emerging manager running one LP campaign focused on family offices. That buyer needs an accurate family office list once, in a format they can use anywhere.

Active Family Offices sells that format. You pay once, download the current version as an Excel file you keep, and the whole team can use it. Each family office is reviewed and verified by a team of humans, and every listing has a verified website or LinkedIn company page. Columns include investment domains, office type, AUM with source where disclosed, deal submission channel, and up to three top decision-makers per office. For the USA, that includes personal LinkedIn profiles and verified personal work emails. For Europe, decision-makers are listed by name and position with company contact details, and the file is GDPR compliant. The product page publishes a 95% accuracy guarantee with a money-back remedy.
